Alicia’s Story

Share

Alicia came to Washington State in 1996 from Mexico, escaping dire poverty and seeking a better life.  She lives in constant fear that she and her husband will be deported, leaving behind her two DREAM children and her two Washington-born children.

A volunteer with Washington Action Network, she is fighting to make a better life here for her family.  But with 10 years to go of her 14-year wait to become a citizen, she knows that her story is an important story to tell in the fight for a pathway to citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants.
