Dennis’ Story

Share

I’m Dennis, and I’m from Wisconsin.  I came here when I was 12 because the conditions in Mexico could not sustain a happy life.  When I got here, I immediately was aware of my situation as undocumented, and that later on led to a life where I felt that my opportunities were limited.

I started organizing because I felt that my potential was being limited as a person, and I realized that coming together like we are now can make a real difference.  Together we can actually make a change.  One of the most basic things that we ask for is a path for citizenship that families deserve.  We’re not asking for a handout—we earned this, all of us together.
