Immigration Injustices

Share

I am 27 years old, from Honduras, I have lived in Virginia for eight of those years.  I was detained by ICE agents two years ago, and in November 8th, 2012 I lost the case and was given Voluntary Departure for March 8th, 2013.  I have two U.S.-born children who depend on me and that didn’t matter to them (immigration agents).  I have been walking with an ankle bracelet for almost two years.  I complied with everything I was told to do, such as reporting to them two times a month, and I received one visit from them at my home once a month.  I spent too much time and money on my case, and it was useless – I feel sad, disappointed, and indignant at the way we are being treated just for being undocumented.
